What is Oh Hello Maker?
Oh Hello Maker is a monthly craft subscription box for the creative and the curious.
Each month you will be sent an exciting new box packed with all the materials, tools and goodies you need to make a specific craft. And with a different craft technique every month, you’ll always have something new and exciting to try your hand at - it could be lino printing, punch needle embroidery, candle making or sewing to name just a few.
And if there is a project you don’t fancy doing or you’re going away, no worries, just simply skip that month.
There are no contracts here, subscriptions are totally flexible to suit you. You can choose to pause your subscription, skip a month or cancel at any time.
What’s inside the kits?
You will be sent all the materials and tools needed for that month’s project. We just ask that you supply the basics, like a pencil, ruler, scissors or something to draw around.
There will be printed step-by-step instructions with clear photographs showing you every stage of the process. And if you prefer to watch a video tutorial instead, then you’re in luck as you’ll also be sent a video too, so you can watch and pause as you go along.
There may also be some extra goodies too...
Is Oh Hello Maker suitable for beginners?
Whether you are a complete beginner or a crafting connoisseur, it doesn’t matter. Oh Hello Maker is for everyone. Our step by step instructions and video will help out those of you who are less confident, but if you’d rather use the box materials to create something different to the project we suggest, that’s fine too! Enjoy the freedom and creativity!
Please note: Some of the boxes will contain sharp tools, so can only be purchased by adults over the age of 18. Whether you choose to create the projects with your children is up to you, please just be mindful.
How do I subscribe?
You can easily subscribe here. Orders open on the 1st day of the month and close on the last day of the month.
Can I get a gift subscription for a friend?
Absolutely! You can buy a gift subscription here
PLEASE NOTE: If you are purchasing a subscription for yourself as well as a Gift Subscription for a friend, you will have to put these through as two separate transactions, as there currently isn't the option to add two different shipping addresses on our site.
Any plan that is gifted will not be auto-renewed after it’s duration and will automatically expire.
What happens when I subscribe?
When you subscribe to Oh Hello Maker you will be billed on the day of purchase, and then on the same date each month.
This can mean you might be billed twice before you receive your first box. If you have any questions around this, please don't hesitate to get in touch and we'll be happy to help. You will always receive the kits you paid for.
You are not tied into any contract and can cancel your subscription at any time.
Will my subscription auto-renew?
If you are joining as a subscriber, yes. Your subscription will renew on the same date each month as the date you first joined.
If you are buying Oh Hello Maker as a gift, your plan will not renew.
Can I order more than one subscription?
Absolutely! You can buy multiple subscriptions for all your pals!
Please Note: If you are purchasing multiple gift subscriptions, you will have to put these through as separate transactions, as we currently don't have the option to add more than one shipping address.
Where do you deliver to?
Delivery to the UK is FREE
We are currently only delivering to the UK while we finalise shipping costs and taxes for the rest of the world. If there is enough demand then this will be added as an option. Please email emily@ohhellomaker if you'd like to subscribe and let us know where you're based.
How do I create a customer account?
Easy! Simply click here and follow the instructions. Then, next time you’re on the site, click on the the little person icon at the top right of the screen, where you can enter your login details to access your account.
How do I skip a month? And can I pause my subscription?
Once you have created an account (see above), click on Manage Subscription. There you will see a list of all your future boxes, you can then choose to skip a month, pause your subscription or permanently cancel.
I have missed the deadline for last month’s box, can I still order it?
Sadly not, sorry. Orders close on the last day of the month. As each project is limited edition, and boxes made to order so it won’t be available to purchase after the deadline.
Should there be any spares, then individual boxes will be available to buy at a later date.
Delivery and Returns
When will I receive my first box?
Oh Hello Maker boxes are made to order. When you subscribe in any calendar month, your box will be posted out on or around the 15th of the following month.
For example: if you place an order on the 5th June you are purchasing the July box. The July box will be sent out on the 15th July and should arrive with you 3 working days later via Royal Mail.
If you order during the first half of the month, please don’t be alarmed when two separate payments come out before receiving your first box. Rest assured you will receive all the kits that you pay for.

Will I need to be home to accept the delivery?
Yes. Your box of goodies will be packaged in a small parcel-sized box, which won’t fit through a letterbox.
Can I schedule when I’ll receive my box?
Unfortunately no, this isn’t something that we can do.
What happens if something in the box arrives damaged?
Each box is carefully packed by hand, using protective packaging.
Occasionally items do become damaged in transit which is out of our control. If this happens please email us straight away, supplying as much detail as possible along with images of the damage. We will then do our very best to rectify the situation.
There’s something missing from my box, what should I do?
We apologise if something has missed the boat. All our boxes are packed by hand with a checklist of everything required. If you have an item missing please send us an email straight away, supplying as much detail as possible and listing the items you have received. This will help us identify the missing items. We can then look into getting a replacement item sent out to you.
I’ve moved house, how do I update my details?
Log into your account by clicking on the little person icon in the top right of the screen. Once logged in, click on Manage Subscriptions, here you will see the option ‘Addresses’ where you can edit your current address or add a new address.
A change of address must be done before the 14th of each month. Failure to provide the correct information by this date may result in boxes going to the wrong address. Any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org
What is your returns policy?
As each monthly subscription box is made to order, we’re unable to accept returns for these. If anything has been damaged in transit or anything is missing please let us know as soon as possible, by emailing email@example.com and we will do our very best to help.
How do I update my card details?
Log into your account by clicking on the little person icon in the top right corner of the screen. Once logged in, click on Manage Subscriptions, here you will see the option ‘Billing’ where you can update your current payment details on the subscription.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Log into your account by clicking on the little person icon in the top right corner of the screen. Once logged in, click on Manage Subscriptions. Under ‘Actions’ you will find ‘Cancel’
